The app
macOS 11 or later. Drag tapey-1 to Applications. The first time, macOS refuses it: open it once, then System Settings, Privacy & Security, Open Anyway.
One program, nothing to install: run it from anywhere. If SmartScreen warns about an unknown publisher: More info, Run anyway.
Unpack it and run tapey-1/tapey-1. Needs WebKitGTK 4.1 and ALSA; on Debian and Ubuntu: sudo apt install libwebkit2gtk-4.1-0 libasound2.
The plugins
Apple Silicon and Intel. macOS may refuse an unsigned plugin at first: the one-line fix.
Copy each into your plugins folder, then rescan in your music program.
The host shows its own sliders for the plugin's controls.
The browser
Current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. MIDI keyboards in Chrome and Edge. On a phone or tablet, add it to your home screen: it opens full screen and works offline.
Unzip onto any web server and open index.html.
